An ordinance collecting fees on burial plot for concrete tombs at the municipal cemetery of Burauen, Leyte.
WHEREAS, presented for consideration was the need to collect fees an burial plots for concrete tombs at the municipal Cemetery in order that the municipal government will derive funds for the maintenance and expansion of the same cemetery.
WHEREAS, it was agreed by the Body that the rate to be collected for a plet measuring two (2) square meters (one meter in width and two meters in length) will be the same with the rate collected by the Catholic Church which is Two Hundred Fifty Pesos (P250.00) for a five year period and the sum collected will be deposited as trust fund of the municipality for the mainteanance, improvement and expansion;
WHEREAS, before any concrete tomb will be constructed at the municipal cemetory the interested party will first enter into an agreement with the municipal government inorder that the requirements relative to the same construction of tomb shall be complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of the Honorable Councilor Panfilo Sudario, seconded by Councilors Conde, Esplanada, Abello and Martillano,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SANGGUNIANG BAYAN OF BURAUEN, LEYTE, IN SESSION, that
Section 1 – This Ordinance shall be called An Ordinance Collecting fees on burial plot for concrete tombs measuring Two (2) square meters at the Municipal Cemetery at Two Hundred Fifty Pesos (P250.00) for a five year period, renewable every five years thereafter;
