An Ordinance Granting Franchise to Passenger Tricycles and Motorcycles Operating within the Municipality of Burauen, Leyte, and Fixing Fees Therefor.
WHEREAS, by virtue of the devolution of LTFRB’s franchising authority to passenger tricycles from the Department of Transportation and Communications to the local government unit pursuant to the Local Government Code, the Body deemed it wise to adopt the guidelines of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board into the Department of Transportation and Communications;
WHEREAS, it had been observed that for many years now there is a big number of passenger single motorcycles with saddles which are operating in the municipality, especially to the upland areas which are not reached by other vehicular transportations, and because these transport facilities are also collecting fares, the Body also agreed to include the same in granting franchise and permit to operate;
NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of the Honorable Councilor Baldomero Camasin, Jr., seconded by Councilors Vicente Tan and Cirilo Lope Sudario,
