An ordinance prohibiting discrimination in the Municipality of Burauen, Leyte on the basis of disability, age, civil status, health status, sexual orientation and gender identity, ethnicity, and religion, and providing penalties for violations thereof.
Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Burauen, Leyte, in session assembled, that
SECTION 1. TITLE. This ordinance, for brevity, shall be known as the “Anti-Discrimination Ordinanceof the Municipality of Burauen, Leyte”.
SECTION 2. DECLARATION OF POLICY. It is hereby declared a policy of the Municipality of Burauen, Leyte, to promote equality and to actively eliminate all forms of discrimination that violate and offend the equal protection of Human Rights as stated in the Bill of Rights, the country’s signed international conventions and obligations, and other existing laws, particularly such practices defined herein.
