BE IT ENACTED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE SANGGUNIANG BAYAN OF BURAUEN, LEYTE, IN SESSION, that:
SECTION 1. TITLE. This ordinance shall be called “An Ordinance Naming the New Public Market into Burauen Commercial Complex and Supplementing Transitory Provisions in the Burauen Market Code of 2011 to Promote the Efficient Operation and Ensure the Successful Opening of the New Public Market as a Self-Reliant and Viable Economic Enterprise of the Municipality of Burauen.”
SECTION 2. AUTHORITY AND PURPOSE. This ordinance is enacted pursuant to Section 447 of RA 7160, which grants the Sangguniang Bayan, as the legislative body of the municipality, to enact ordinances for the general welfare of the municipality and its inhabitants and in the proper exercise of the corporate powers as provided for in Section 22 of RA 7160, granting full autonomy in the exercise of their proprietary functions and in the management of their economic enterprises, subject to the limitations provided in RA 7160 and other applicable laws.
